District 3 Portland Board of Public Education member Laurie Davis and at-large member Anna Trevorrow were reelected to their seats on Nov. 8, according to final voting tallies from the Portland City Clerk’s office. Political newcomer Roberto Rodriguez was also elected to an at-large school board seat.

Davis, who is the executive director of TRIO programs at the University of Southern Maine, bested challenger William Linnell to win a third three-year term on the school board. Davis won 3,274 votes or 51 percent. Linnell, a former Cape Elizabeth town councilor who is semiretired and works part time as a carpenter and fisherman, received 3,170 votes or 49 percent.

Trevorrow, an assistant clerk for the Maine Superior Court, also won a third term, receiving 23,186 votes. She and Rodriguez, a physical therapy assistant who won 15,416 votes, ran unopposed for their at-large seats.

The seat Rodriguez won is being vacated by school board member Pious Ali. On Nov. 8, Ali was elected to an at-large seat on the City Council.
