METRO is inviting Portland Public Schools’ high school students to fill out a new survey on service and improvements they think are needed.

METRO wants to learn more about students’ experience riding the buses and have them help METRO prioritize a list of possible improvements, such as having later evening service or more trips per hour on some routes during the day.

“Thank you for helping us improve transit in Portland by providing your input,” METRO is telling students.

The Metro Transit Service: High School Student Survey is open until Jan. 10, 2017, at 2 p.m. To take the survey, go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JZ2FFC7

The 2016-2017 school year marks the second year of the successful METRO Transit Pass Program for Portland Public Schools’ high school students, made possible through a partnership between Greater Portland Transit District METRO and PPS.

This program provides a free METRO Student Transit Pass to all Portland high school students enrolled in Portland, Deering and Casco Bay High Schools, including students living within two miles of school. The pass allows unlimited use of METRO bus routes during the academic school year, including weekends and break periods.
