Thirty Portland Public Schools high school and middle school students will have the opportunity of a lifetime “rolling with the pros” on Sunday, April 7, at Bayside Bowl in Portland. The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) will be in town for the inaugural PBA Playoffs and Portland students will join them for a fun lesson and bowling.

Student bowling will be from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., and the public is welcome to come and watch!

Later that day, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., 16 PBA pros will play at Bayside Bowl in the Fourth Annual Strike Out Child Hunger ProAm Charity Bowling Tournament, benefiting Full Plates Full Potential.

Sixteen Portland area restaurants and breweries will be paired with PBA Pros in a friendly competition benefiting Full Plates Full Potential’s work to end child hunger in Maine.  A portion of the proceeds from the Full Plates Full Potential event will benefit food security initiatives within the Portland Public Schools.

Sponsoring the events on April 7th are the City of Portland, the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, Portland Downtown, Buy Local and Visit Portland.

The Strike Out Child Hunger Tournament at Bayside Bowl kicks off the events for the 2019 PBA Playoffs, which run from April 8-10. The PBA Playoffs is a 10-telecast event that will seed the top 24 players into an elimination bracket. The first eight shows of the PBA Playoffs will be televised on FS1 from Bayside Bowl.
