Students in the landscape and gardens class at Portland Arts and Technology High School (PATHS) recently visited Northfield Green, an apartment complex for seniors and people with disabilities near PATHS, to plant a pink tulip garden.

Students dug holes, moved compost and planted bulbs.  They met some residents and enjoyed a snack together.

The class plans to return in the spring when the tulips bloom.  They also hope to teach the residents about making herbal soap and tea from mint in the garden.
