Students at Longfellow Elementary School recently harvested vegetables from their school’s garden.  The students dug up 100 pounds of potatoes and 135 pounds of carrots.  The produce will be prepared by the district’s central kitchen and served as part of school lunches.  Longfellow fourth graders planted the potatoes last spring as part of their study of the state of Maine.
