Eighth graders at Lyman Moore Middle School will host a Red Cross blood drive on February 15 from 1 to 6:45 p.m. in the cafeteria of the school, located at 171 Auburn Street. Parents at Lyman Moore Middle School are invited to a meeting on February 1 at 7 p.m. in the Moore library to give input about the search for Moore’s next principal. The meeting provides an opportunity for parents to discuss the characteristics that they would like to see in the person chosen to lead the school and their priorities for the position.

The four kindergarten classes at Lyseth Elementary School all raised money from DonorsChoose.org to purchase headphones and other supplies for use with the school’s new iPads. The donation totaled more than $1,600. DonorsChoose.org provides a way for teachers to solicit donations for their projects from people across the country and around the world.
